Sun is the most powerful Grah I don’t use the word planet as it is misleading for some people followed by power of Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Budh (Mercury), Mars and Saturn in descending order. Saturn and Budh are Shudra Grah and Mars though weaker than Budh is a kshatriya (warrior class) Grah.

Sun represents the father, government, political knowledge and Karka of 1st,5th and ninth house (in western astrology). Strong sun represents high rank in government and leadership jobs.
